The
Southeastern Conference announced Friday that all athletics
activities, including competitions, team and individual practices,
meetings and other organized gatherings, will be suspended through at
least April 15, due to continuing developments related to the
coronavirus (COVID-19).
LEXINGTON, Kentucky
The
NCAA cancelled all remaining winter and spring championships on
Wednesday, making the decision based on the evolving COVID-19 public
health threat, the ability to ensure the events do not contribute to
spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events
at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by
other entities.
